If you want to appreciate anything in life, limit your access to it.
If your training sessions aren’t as exciting or productive as they once were, take a week off and see how keen you are to get back into it.
If you’re constantly on/off your diet, take a whole week off “healthy eating” or tracking macros, and see how keen you are to re-gain nutritional structure and “health”.
We get comfortable and then we get bored. Sometimes it’s wise to take a holiday from normality to improve long-term productivity.
